Most hirers are very sensible people and drivers will adhere to common sense guild lines, we feel however we should spell out the following:

  • Hirers must hold a current licence and be a minimum of 21 years of age. 4WD Rentals recognises a current open/restricted licence for the class of vehicle which is being hired. The licence must be presented upon vehicle pick up. International driving licences will be accepted.
  • Vehicles are to be returned to our Ascot office on completion of the rental unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • Comprehensive insurance is included in the rates shown, however an excess of $AU5000 applies for drivers 21 years 21 years and over. The standard Insurance Excess is $AU5000 Single Vehicle Damage and $AU2000 for collision with another vehicle.

    You may reduce the Excess Fee with our "Excess Reduction Waiver" at a cost of $AU20.00 per day. This will reduce the excess to $AU1500 single vehicle damage and $AU600 collision with another vehicle.

  • Insurance excess is subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and may be voided if conditions are breached.
  • Cars are supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned the same.
  • Rates and conditions are subject to variation.
  • Rentals subject to the Terms and Conditions of the rental contract.

  • Reservation deposits are required.
  • Minimum hire periods can be specified depending on the destination. We fell for instance a minimum hire for travelling to Stradbroke Island is 3 Days.

    CANCELLATION POLICY

    We ask that you notify us as soon as possible of any Cancellation. Cancellations Notified within:
    notified outside of seven days no charge.

    notified inside seven days 100% of rental maybe charged.
